Discwoman’s Akua turns time back to the ’90s tonight with a three-x classified speed of all-fire rave music. The Ghanian-American DJ, whose moniker translates to “born on a Wednesday” in Akan, has been setting techno’s garden alight on all given days with thrashing performances at Sustain Release, Berghain, De School, and Boiler Room as of late. The one to watch for as she picks up flight in an unparalleled soar.
Furthermore, Kris Guilty – the name behind Montreal’s beloved La Rama record shop – makes his first appearance behind XXX decks in a special collaboration for this month’s vol. x, while Anabasine’s return after a May 2019 monument could not have come sooner.
